Kenworth W900L Heritage Collection Skin Mod

Welcome to our inaugural project for American Truck Simulator! Following the release of the W900 Tuning DLC, we noticed that although the new skins introduced by the SCS Dev team were designed by Kenworth, they didn't quite capture the essence of the most iconic paint schemes favored by W900 owners.

In an effort to pay homage to the developers' hard work and elevate the aesthetic appeal of the W900L, we embarked on a mission to bring Kenworth's most renowned designs into the game. Our commitment led us to an extensive research phase, scouring through images of classic Kenworth trucks to adapt these iconic designs to seamlessly complement the W900L.

What made this process truly remarkable was the discovery of an array of fantastic, rare, and captivating paint schemes. Some were official designs, while others were variations crafted by truck owners, often rivaling or surpassing the original designs. This presented a delightful challenge as we debated which designs to turn into mods, ultimately deciding to include them all. The result? A collection of over 80 high-quality skins for the W900L, a number that exceeded our expectations but still falls short of concluding our research.

Initially, we planned to release these skins as a pack, but due to the rapidly growing number of skins we've created, we reconsidered to ensure that you have the flexibility to choose and pay only for the designs that resonate with you. Instead, we offer each skin individually, with plans to introduce discounted bundles for skins featuring similar designs.

Now, why focus solely on the W900L? Well, our studio personnel preference lies with classic American truck styles, and to streamline our efforts, we've set criteria for selecting trucks. They must embody a classic style, be updated to current quality standards, and ideally, have an official Tuning DLC. The W900L, being the first to meet these criteria, became our primary focus. But this doesn't mean we will neglect other official game trucks, in due time, we will reach them, even if they don't fit these criteria. Keep an eye out for exciting tuning parts in the pipeline, as we're eager to unveil some behind-the-scenes glimpses soon.
